How properly eject a USB external HDD?

Good question itself, because that hassles caused by poor ejections, as SD to NTFS are constantly watched by the system, so that cuts in the snatch, they do not it makes too! And
gun down an external HD can have serious consequences.
(drop for that matter, the DOs are hyper sensitive to the slightest shock!)

Obviously lack of bowl, if it is "eject" an external HD as a USB key, it does not work!
I finally found the walkthrough, because having tidal bowl massacre external HDD (I'm not alone!)

Just double click it, and then create a shortcut on the desktop. It works

short .... then spend hours like me, try doing a System Restore, or put a mouse / keyboard PS2 and try to turn everything in the USB device manager .... and nothing works , so try this: Close

• Press your Start button (hold it down) for 1 minute .. .

Frankly I could not believe it, and?
