Too often, diabetes is diagnosed at a complication: arteritis, heart, kidney, eye or neurological. This late identification then requires urgent treatment.

Throughout the month of November 2002, the group comprising 900 pharmacies Giropharm adherent and the French Diabetes Association (SFM) organizes the operation of screening, information and support to patients, "Diabetes, it is not seen."

Establishing a system for reprocessing medical waste with the free distribution of containers of salvage needles and lancets. This last operation will continue beyond November 2002.
In addition, anyone who goes into a pharmacy Giropharm will receive a free screening. The campaign has set itself three objectives: to raise awareness and identify people at risk, assist diabetic patients in managing their illness and enhance recovery of HCW.

Beware of pre-diabetes!
You are perhaps unaware that a future diabetic ! And if you do nothing, you will become diabetic in their own right and directly threaten your health! This is how the U.S. government has decided to tackle a real public health problem. The initiative is quite innovative.
