Syphilis Chancre Last

Choosing the meter (III)

Choosing the right glucose meter (III)

Using your player

The proper use of the player is then required. First recommendation: check regularly that your player is properly set and the results it says are reliable. For this you can use control solutions provided by the laboratories. Alternatively, use strips that allow a visual check of the value of blood glucose with color.

Also check that your strips are not outdated, they might in this case mislead you. They should not be wet and kept at a reasonable temperature.

Do not disinfect the tip of your finger, do not touch not the strip on its reactive part, this could also distort the result. Regularly check the battery or batteries and the cleanliness of your device.

And it's too hot or too cold, take precautions. Indeed, reagents and test strips resent the hot and cold weather but also sudden changes in temperature. If you need to transport these reagents, keep them in their original packages and choose the solution of insulated pockets without adding ice or otherwise.
